You may appeal a Home Office decision where you have been granted right of appeal. Generally, decisions which carry right to appeal will specify 14-day deadline from date of the decision when the person being refused is given in-country right of appeal. If the person is given out-of-country right of appeal the deadline is 28 days from voluntary return (normally to their country of nationality). The deadline is 28 days from service of the refusal letter in entry clearance applications. If you have not been granted a right of appeal by the Home Office you may still seek permission from the Tribunal to appeal e.g. where you believe that a visit visa refusal interferes with right to family life or where you believe that a human rights application to stay in the UK being refused would.
